About This Role

Harrison Street Asset Management (HSAM), a leading global alternative investment management firm with over 08 billion in assets under management, is seeking a Vice President or Director within its Asset Management department in San Francisco. HSAM specializes in real estate, infrastructure, and credit strategies across North America and Europe, serving institutional investors and registered investment advisors globally.

The role will oversee an evolving portfolio consisting primarily of office buildings and residential apartment communities, with additional ground-up developments and major redevelopments. The Asset Manager will serve as the primary internal point of responsibility at Harrison Street for assigned investments, working closely with local operating partners and third-party property service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute business plans for a portfolio of real estate property investments, covering all aspects of value creation including marketing, leasing, operations, and dispositions

- Review and analyze monthly financial results; identify operating issues and oversee implementation of solutions in partnership with property managers

- Perform financial modeling including lease underwriting, property valuations, and hold/sell analyses

- Maximize cash flow and property values through revenue management and operating expense optimization

- Lead regular meetings with property management teams and ownership/investment stakeholders

- Conduct quarterly valuations, annual reforecasting, and budgeting for all assigned assets

- Prepare comprehensive client reporting and investment committee materials

Qualifications:

- Minimum 8 years of real estate experience

- Substantial experience in asset management, capital markets, financial analysis, leasing, and development oversight

- Strong foundation in real estate investing and management fundamentals

- Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
