Associate, Direct Equity

Hamilton Lane, a global private markets investment firm with $1.0 trillion in assets under management and supervision across offices in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East, is hiring an Associate for its Direct Equity group in London. The Associate will be responsible for the full life cycle of private equity direct and co-investments -- from evaluating investment opportunities through monitoring and exiting -- working on deal teams to drive the investment process. Responsibilities include supporting senior team members in originating new investment opportunities, evaluating prospective investments by assessing key risks and merits, conducting thorough due diligence and leading diligence calls with GP sponsors and portfolio companies, performing rigorous financial analyses to support investment decisions (valuation, structure, returns), preparing Investment Committee memoranda and presenting recommendations, and assisting with underwriting, negotiating and closing investments while contributing to ongoing portfolio management.
