Investment Associate — Life Sciences

General Atlantic seeks a Life Sciences investor for their New York investment team, with exposure to investment evaluation, technical diligence, deal execution, and portfolio company support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Source and evaluate investment opportunities in drug development companies; develop thematic focus areas

- Support scientific and clinical due diligence, integrating preclinical data and clinical results

- Create investment theses for senior stakeholders and the Investment Committee

- Coordinate third-party scientific advisors and commercial consultants

- Monitor portfolio companies and support capital allocation efforts

- Generate proprietary deal flow leveraging clinical networks

Qualifications:

- MD or PhD in relevant scientific discipline (molecular biology, genetics, chemistry, etc.)

- 2-5 years post-graduate professional experience; minimum 2 years in life sciences sector

- Financial modeling foundation

- Deep familiarity with drug development and regulatory processes

Compensation: $150,000-$160,000 base salary plus discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive programs
