Its Life Sciences practice backs development-stage biopharma companies, with a track record that includes Akero Therapeutics (acquired by Novo Nordisk), Karuna Therapeutics (acquired by BMS), Cincor Pharma (acquired by AstraZeneca), and Centessa Pharmaceuticals (potential acquisition by Eli Lilly). The firm is hiring a Life Sciences investor to join its New York-based investment team, with exposure to all parts of the investment process.

Key Responsibilities

- Source, evaluate, and recommend investment opportunities in biopharmaceutical companies, including development of thematic focus areas

- Support scientific and clinical due diligence, integrating preclinical data, clinical trial results, regulatory strategy, and market dynamics into investment recommendations

- Develop and present investment theses to senior stakeholders, including the global Investment Committee

- Coordinate third-party scientific advisors, KOLs, and commercial consultants across the deal process

- Monitor portfolio companies and support capital allocation and value-creation efforts

- Leverage clinical and industry networks to generate proprietary deal flow and market intelligence

Qualifications

- MD or PhD in a relevant scientific field (molecular biology, genetics, biology, chemistry, etc.)

- 2-5 years of post-graduate professional experience, including at least 2 years in life sciences investing, strategy consulting, equity research/investment banking, or a biopharma operating role

- Strong foundation in financial modeling, with ability to integrate preclinical/clinical data, FDA/regulatory correspondence, and market research into recommendations

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated maturity interacting with senior executives

Compensation & Location

Based in New York. Base salary of $150,000-$160,000, with additional discretionary bonus and long-term incentive programs, medical insurance, and retirement savings contributions.
