Fin Capital is seeking a Principal to join its established Venture Capital team in New York, United States. This role presents a significant opportunity for an accomplished investment professional to play a central role in identifying, evaluating, and supporting the next generation of innovative companies within the venture capital landscape. Fin Capital is a dedicated venture capital firm with a clear focus on long-term value creation through strategic investments.

As a Principal, you will be instrumental in expanding Fin Capital's investment portfolio and contributing to its continued success. Your responsibilities will encompass the full investment lifecycle, requiring a blend of analytical rigor, market insight, and relationship-building acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Sourcing and Deal Generation:* Proactively identify and engage with high-potential early-stage companies that align with Fin Capital's investment thesis. Cultivate and maintain a robust network of founders, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and co-investors to generate proprietary deal flow. Represent Fin Capital at industry events, conferences, and pitch days to enhance the firm’s visibility and sourcing capabilities.

Due Diligence and Investment Analysis:* Lead comprehensive due diligence processes on prospective investments. This includes conducting thorough market research, competitive analysis, technology assessments, product evaluations, and detailed financial modeling. You will assess management teams, business models, growth strategies, and potential risks, synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable investment recommendations for presentation to the investment committee.

Transaction Execution:* Manage all aspects of investment execution from initial term sheet negotiation through to legal documentation and successful closing. Work closely with legal counsel and other advisors to ensure efficient and effective transaction completion.

Portfolio Management and Value Creation:* Actively support Fin Capital’s portfolio companies post-investment. Provide strategic guidance, operational assistance, and access to the firm’s network and resources. Monitor portfolio company performance, assist with follow-on funding rounds, and contribute to exit strategy development to maximize returns.

Firm Representation and Development:* Contribute to the evolution of Fin Capital's investment theses and market insights. Participate in internal strategy discussions, mentor junior team members, and help refine the firm's investment processes and best practices.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a proven track record in venture capital or a related investment role, demonstrating strong analytical capabilities, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of the early-stage investment ecosystem. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills are essential. A proactive, intellectually curious, and results-oriented approach is critical for success in this role.
