Managing Director – Portfolio Operations & Value Creation

A growing middle-market private equity firm is seeking a Managing Director of Portfolio Operations & Value Creation, based in the Dallas-Fort Worth or Austin metro area (hybrid). The search is being conducted by East 57th Street Partners on behalf of the firm.

This senior executive will partner directly with portfolio company CEOs, Presidents, CFOs, and Board-level leadership to drive operational improvements and maximize investment returns across the firm's portfolio. The Managing Director bridges investment strategy and operational execution, ensuring portfolio companies achieve both short-term performance objectives and long-term value creation goals.

Key responsibilities include developing and overseeing value creation plans focused on revenue growth, EBITDA expansion, working capital optimization, and organizational scalability. The role involves assisting management teams with strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, KPI development, and operational execution, while serving as a Board observer or Board member for select portfolio investments.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned operator with a strong finance background who has successfully led businesses through growth, transformation, acquisitions, and value creation phases. Experience as a senior executive at a PE-backed company or in a portfolio operations role at a private equity firm is strongly preferred.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary, annual performance bonus, and carried interest / equity participation.
