Senior Principal Investments – US Infrastructure Debt

DWS Group is seeking a Senior Principal for its US Infrastructure Debt platform in New York, which manages approximately $6 billion of committed capital across multiple credit funds and has deployed capital into over 450 investments since its inception in 2014.

The DWS Private Infrastructure business acquires and manages debt and equity investments in businesses providing essential infrastructure services across transport, energy, utilities, digital, circular economy, and healthcare sectors. With investment teams in Europe and the US, the division manages over €25 billion in assets under management.

As Senior Principal, you will lead all phases of the investment lifecycle, taking primary responsibility for origination, structuring, execution, and portfolio management of infrastructure debt investments across core sectors including energy, power, renewables, transport, utilities, digital, and social infrastructure. You will source and originate investment opportunities by leveraging relationships with sponsors, developers, advisors, and financial institutions.

Key responsibilities include analyzing infrastructure finance transactions through legal, technical, and market due diligence; interrogating financial models and conducting scenario analysis; developing investment credit memoranda; establishing and maintaining a robust investment process and governance framework; and monitoring portfolio performance through quarterly and annual reviews.

The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling, accounting and finance, credit analysis, communication, and presentation skills, along with a demonstrated interest in the infrastructure industry and its various subsectors. Prior experience in infrastructure debt or credit at an institutional investment firm is required.
