Associate, Investment Team

Deerpath Capital, a leading direct lending firm specializing in first lien, senior debt financing to middle market companies, is seeking an Associate to join its Investment Team in Boston. Deerpath focuses on providing debt capital for acquisitions, refinancings, ownership transitions, and growth capital to companies in the US lower middle market. The firm has investment offices in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Fort Lauderdale, with investor relations offices in London, Seoul, Tokyo, and Brisbane, and employs approximately 100 employees globally.

Key responsibilities include evaluating new investment opportunities through financial modeling, industry research, and management meetings; preparing and presenting analysis for the investment committee; monitoring existing portfolio companies; and assisting in business development by attending industry conferences and meeting with private equity firms and bankers.

Required qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, buyside transaction advisory, or a similar lender or private equity fund. The firm will not consider candidates without investment banking, buyside transaction advisory, or lending/private equity backgrounds. Strong academic record, excellent financial modeling skills, and considerable deal execution experience required.
