About This Role

CVS Health Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of CVS Health, focused on mid and late-stage investments in healthcare technology and innovation. The Associate will have accountability for end-to-end deal management within CVS Health Ventures' dedicated growth equity fund, working collaboratively with the early-stage venture fund and supporting broader enterprise innovation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Diligence: The Associate leads the deal diligence process, driving financial modeling and investment memo development. They build consensus with principals and partners and prepare executive-level materials to support investment decisions.

Deal Sourcing: The Associate identifies new investment themes and manages thesis development. They qualify specific sourcing opportunities against CVS Health Ventures' criteria, represent the fund in external forums, build relationships within the healthcare venture ecosystem, and proactively identify opportunities to accelerate portfolio growth and innovation.

Deal Execution: The Associate serves as a key representative to startup leadership teams and internal CVS Health business units throughout transaction execution.

Portfolio Support: The Associate represents CVS Health Ventures on board director and observer seats, helping portfolio companies with value-add activities including debt opportunity evaluation, follow-on capital raises, and M&A support.

Additionally, the role requires developing and communicating strategic insights to support investment thesis development and strategic communication with internal CVS Health business units.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical professional with a background in venture investing, corporate development, or investment banking. Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, venture and growth-stage company dynamics, emerging technology trends, and the broader venture capital community is essential.
