Crystal Venture Partners is an early-stage venture fund focused on vertical AI in the risk economy, and is hiring an Investor at the VP/Principal level to help source and evaluate new investments.

Crystal Venture Partners invests in vertical AI companies operating in the risk economy, starting with insurance because it touches nearly every person, business, asset, and transaction. Fund I is $33M, invested in a concentrated portfolio of 12 companies including WithCoverage, Sixfold, Gyde, Bright Harbor, Charter Space, and Advance. The firm invests early, takes meaningful ownership stakes, and works closely with founders. Co-investors across the portfolio include Bessemer Venture Partners, Box Group, Congruent Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Lightspeed, Lowercarbon Capital, QED Investors, and Sequoia.

Key Responsibilities

- Source new investment opportunities through operators, executives, and fellow investors in the risk/insurance-tech ecosystem

- Build and expand deal-sourcing channels to find category-defining founders early

- Evaluate investment opportunities within the vertical AI / risk economy thesis

- Work closely with portfolio founders after investment
