Private Equity Vice President - Industrials & Healthcare
This presents a significant opportunity for an accomplished Private Equity professional to join a confidential PE firm as a Vice President, focusing on the Industrials and Healthcare sectors. The role offers direct involvement in the full investment lifecycle within a strategic, growth-focused environment. Our client is a confidential Private Equity firm with a focus on value creation within the private equity asset class.
As a Private Equity Vice President, you will play a central role in the firm's investment activities, primarily within the Industrials and Healthcare sectors. Key responsibilities include:
Investment Analysis & Valuation:* Lead the development of detailed financial models, including leveraged buyout (LBO) analyses, discounted cash flow (DCF) models, and comparable company analyses, to thoroughly assess new investment opportunities. Conduct rigorous valuation exercises and scenario planning to evaluate potential returns and risks, informing investment decisions.
Due Diligence Leadership:* Oversee and manage all phases of due diligence for prospective investments. This involves coordinating internal resources and external advisors (e.g., legal, accounting, commercial, operational consultants), synthesizing complex findings, and identifying critical investment merits, risks, and mitigants.
Transaction Execution:* Actively participate in all stages of transaction execution, from initial screening and term sheet negotiation to definitive documentation review and closing. This includes working closely with legal counsel and other advisors to ensure efficient and effective deal completion.
Sector Expertise & Sourcing:* Develop and maintain deep market intelligence within the Industrials and Healthcare sectors. Proactively identify and evaluate new investment themes, market trends, and potential acquisition targets through proprietary research, industry engagement, and network development.
Portfolio Management & Value Creation:* Contribute to the strategic oversight and operational enhancement of existing portfolio companies. This involves working directly with management teams on growth initiatives, operational efficiencies, add-on acquisitions, and preparing for eventual exits to maximize investor returns.
Investment Committee Presentations:* Prepare comprehensive investment memorandums and presentation materials for the investment committee. Articulate investment theses, financial projections, detailed due diligence findings, and risk mitigation strategies clearly and concisely to facilitate informed decision-making.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:* Provide leadership and guidance to junior investment professionals, overseeing their analytical work, fostering their professional development, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of their contributions to deal processes.
Relationship Management:* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with management teams of potential targets, industry experts, investment bankers, and other transaction intermediaries to generate deal flow and enhance the firm's market presence.
This position is based in Los Angeles, United States.
