Private Equity Vice President - Generalist

A leading private equity firm with a distinguished track record in value creation seeks an accomplished Vice President to join its investment team. This pivotal role offers a significant opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute across the full spectrum of investment activities within a generalist mandate. The firm is recognized for its rigorous investment approach and commitment to fostering long-term growth across its portfolio.

Based in Miami, United States, the Vice President will be integral to the firm’s investment lifecycle, from deal origination through exit. The role demands robust analytical capabilities, a profound understanding of investment principles, and the ability to operate effectively. Key responsibilities include:

Investment Sourcing and Evaluation:* Identifying and assessing new investment opportunities through market research, industry analysis, and competitive landscape assessments. Building a pipeline of potential targets aligning with the firm's investment criteria.

Transaction Execution:* Leading comprehensive due diligence efforts (financial, commercial, operational, legal). Developing intricate financial models (LBO, valuation) to support investment decisions. Managing advisors, drafting investment memoranda, and assisting in term sheet negotiation and documentation.

Portfolio Management:* Collaborating closely with portfolio company management to drive strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and performance monitoring. Active participation in board-level discussions and contributing to value enhancement strategies.

Exit Strategy:* Supporting the development and execution of exit strategies for portfolio companies, including preparing for sale processes.

Team Leadership:* Mentoring and guiding junior investment professionals, fostering their development and overseeing their contributions.

The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of executing private equity transactions and demonstrating sound investment judgment. This position requires strong quantitative abilities, exceptional communication skills, and the capacity to manage multiple work streams.
