Head of Direct Private Investments

Citi Wealth is seeking a Head of Direct Private Investments to lead its Direct Private Investing (DPI) operations within the Private Capital Group. This senior leadership role, based in New York, manages the sourcing, evaluation, approval, and distribution of private investment opportunities for Family Office clients and sophisticated investors. Salary range: $250,000 to $500,000 annually.

Key responsibilities include leading strategic development and team management across the DPI function, sourcing direct private investment opportunities through internal networks (Investment Bank, Capital Markets) and external sponsor relationships, managing a robust deal pipeline with initial and comprehensive due diligence, facilitating client onboarding including ISDA documentation, monitoring completed transactions and maintaining sponsor relationships, coordinating distribution with Sales Specialists across regions, owning the DPI product framework, governance processes, and regulatory compliance, and monitoring market trends to communicate sector insights to senior leadership.

The Head of DPI will also serve as an industry thought leader through conferences, research, and client presentations, and provide centralized oversight with standardized reporting metrics.

Required qualifications: 15+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity origination, or similar roles; proven ability to source, structure, and market direct investment transactions for Family Office clients; strong financial analysis and corporate finance skills; advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; and experience implementing complex business strategies globally. CFA designation and a Master's degree are preferred. The position requires eligibility to work in the US.
