Role Overview

Blue Owl Capital (NYSE: OWL), a leading alternative asset manager with over $319 billion in AUM, is hiring a Vice President for its Net Lease Real Assets Investment team's Transactions group. The role requires at least 7 years of commercial real estate acquisitions experience and is based in the Greater Chicago area.

Blue Owl's Real Assets platform is a leader in private equity real estate, providing flexible capital to investment-grade and creditworthy tenants across asset classes and geographies. Its core Net Lease strategy acquires single-tenant, free-standing industrial, essential retail, and office properties on long-term net leases to investment-grade tenants.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead property-level financial due diligence for acquisitions: review CAM reporting packages, balance sheets, income statements, and budgets

- Prepare reconciliations/prorations with sellers at closing

- Review Property Condition Assessments and quantify OpEx/CapEx exposure

- Independently manage the due diligence process and deadlines across multiple simultaneous acquisitions, dispositions, and financings, from term sheet through closing of escrow

- Review environmental Phase I reports and, with counsel, determine acceptable risk levels

- Review and analyze legal due diligence issues raised by outside counsel

- Identify, track, and resolve open transaction issues, driving deals to a timely close

- Prepare closing settlement statements for acquisitions, dispositions, and financings

- Oversee the work of analysts supporting transactions

Qualifications

- At least 7 years of commercial real estate acquisitions experience

- Strong financial, legal, and environmental due diligence skills

- Ability to independently manage multiple transactions and deadlines
