Blackstone, a leading global investment firm with significant assets under management within its Private Equity segment, offers a compelling opportunity for a proven procurement leader. We are seeking a Global Head of Strategic Sourcing, Senior Vice President – Procurement, to spearhead our worldwide procurement function. This is a critical role designed to optimize global spend, enhance operational efficiency, and generate substantial value across our enterprise and potentially our diverse portfolio of companies.

Based in Miami, United States, the Senior Vice President will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive global strategic sourcing strategy. This leader will be instrumental in identifying and realizing cost savings and value generation opportunities across a diverse range of indirect spend categories, including professional services, technology, and real estate. The role directly contributes to the firm’s operational excellence and financial performance through disciplined spend management and vendor optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development and Execution:* Formulate and implement a global strategic sourcing framework, aligning with the firm’s operational objectives and growth initiatives.

Cost Optimization and Value Creation:* Drive rigorous analysis of spend categories, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to deliver measurable financial benefits.

Supplier Relationship Management:* Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with key global suppliers, ensuring performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Contract Negotiation and Management:* Lead complex contract negotiations, ensuring advantageous terms, risk mitigation, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Process and System Enhancement:* Establish and implement best-in-class procurement processes, policies, and technologies to improve efficiency, transparency, and control across the organization.

Team Leadership and Development:* Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Internal Stakeholder Collaboration:* Partner closely with internal business units, finance, legal, and technology teams to understand their needs and integrate procurement strategies seamlessly. Potentially advise and support portfolio companies on their strategic sourcing initiatives.

Risk Management:* Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of critical services and adherence to ethical sourcing practices.

This position demands an accomplished professional with a track record of transforming procurement functions within large, complex organizations. The successful candidate will possess exceptional commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
