2027 GIP Infrastructure Private Equity Investment Associate

Role Overview

Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), part of BlackRock, is hiring an Investment Associate for its 2027 class to join the deal team evaluating and executing infrastructure investments across energy, transportation, digital infrastructure, and water and waste management. GIP manages over $189 billion in assets under management.

Key Responsibilities

- Process new infrastructure investment opportunities, from market assessment and competitive positioning to underwriting and deal structuring

- Support diligence efforts including business diligence, risk underwriting, and managing external advisors

- Build flexible financial models to support deal underwriting and structuring

- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support transaction negotiations

- Provide hands-on support to portfolio companies post-acquisition, including monitoring performance and conducting periodic valuations

Qualifications

- 2-3 years of investment banking or private equity investing experience, or 3-5 years at industry companies/consultants in GIP's target sectors (energy, transportation, digital, water and waste)

- Bachelor's degree with a strong GPA from a leading university

- Genuine passion for infrastructure investing
