Banner Ridge’s 25+ person team is primarily comprised of investment professionals. Job DescriptionBanner Ridge is seeking a high-performing and self-motivated Investment Analyst to join its underwriting investment team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and entrepreneurial, with strong investment acumen and a passion for working within an opportunistic investment mandate at a growing, collaborative firm. The primary responsibilities include:Conducting in-depth research and analysis on potential investments across different transaction types, industries and securities throughout the capital structureWorking in small deal teams to complete thorough due diligence efforts, including frequent interaction with private equity fund managers, company management teams and industry expertsBuilding, maintaining and updating advanced financial models in Excel for valuation and return analysis of portfolios and single assets, including secondaries, credit and leveraged buyout modelsPreparing extensive investment memoranda, presentations and other materials summarizing the investment analysis outputs and providing investment recommendations and discussing the investment thesis in front of the investment committeeParticipating in deal structuring, valuation and execution processesAssisting with portfolio management and ongoing monitoring of fund interests and underlying portfolio companies through continuous review of reports, financial statements and public disclosuresMaintaining and updating the firm’s deal pipeline database to ensure accuracy and completeness of all relevant dataActively contributing to the team’s collaborative culture by generating and sharing actionable investment ideas across strategies Key Attributes & Requirements0.5-2 years of relevant experience in a finance-related role, including investment banking, private equity, private credit, consulting and/or secondariesBachelor’s degree from a leading university with a strong academic record; majors in economics, finance or mathematics preferredDemonstrated financial modeling expertise commensurate with sophisticated investment analysisStrong intellectual and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to structure and solve complex problems and exceptional attention to detailExcellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to build strong professional relationshipsSuperior organizational and time management skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to perform effectively under pressureAvailable for full-time, on-site employment at the firm’s Midtown Manhattan office (five days per week)
