Bain Capital, a leading global private investment firm, is seeking a Business Systems Director to lead strategic technology initiatives within its Private Equity business. This critical leadership role offers the opportunity to drive significant operational and analytical enhancements, directly influencing the efficiency and effectiveness of our investment processes across the private equity asset class. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the technological infrastructure that supports the entire private equity investment lifecycle, from deal sourcing and execution to portfolio monitoring and exit.

Reporting to senior leadership, the Business Systems Director will be responsible for defining, developing, and executing the long-term strategy for business systems supporting Bain Capital's Private Equity activities. This involves close collaboration with investment professionals, finance, operations, and technology teams to identify evolving business requirements and translate them into robust, scalable system solutions. The Director will proactively identify opportunities for technological advancement to support growth and efficiency, evaluating new technologies, assessing their applicability, and building compelling business cases for adoption.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Strategic System Leadership:* Develop and maintain a comprehensive roadmap for private equity business systems, ensuring technology initiatives align directly with strategic business objectives and operational needs.

End-to-End System Management:* Oversee the full lifecycle of critical private equity systems, including CRM, deal management, portfolio monitoring, and reporting platforms. Drive continuous improvement, optimization, and the introduction of new capabilities, managing vendor relationships and contracts to ensure service levels are met.

Cross-Functional Partnership:* Partner effectively with diverse stakeholders across the firm to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure successful adoption of new systems and features that enhance efficiency and data integrity.

Project Execution & Governance:* Lead and manage complex system implementation and integration projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and high quality. This requires strong organizational skills and the ability to navigate intricate project landscapes.

Operational Excellence:* Focus on enhancing operational efficiency, improving data quality, and ensuring the integrity of information critical to investment decision-making and portfolio management.

Compliance & Risk Management:* Ensure all business systems adhere to internal policies, industry best practices, and relevant regulatory standards, safeguarding the firm's operations.

Team & Stakeholder Guidance:* Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in system development and deployment.

This Director-level position is based in our Boston, United States office. Compensation for this role will be competitive and commensurate with experience, and will be discussed directly with qualified candidates.
