Vice President/Director, Capital Formation

B Capital, a leading global multi-stage venture capital firm with over $6 billion in assets under management, is seeking a Vice President or Director to join its Capital Formation team in New York. This is a senior fundraising role focused on building LP relationships and raising capital across the firm's funds and co-investments.

The successful candidate will originate and close new LP commitments across institutional, family office, wealth management, and high-net-worth channels. They will manage the full fundraising cycle—from prospect mapping and outreach through diligence coordination and close—while partnering closely with the MD of Capital Formation and investment leadership to refine fund positioning and messaging.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining a robust fundraising pipeline with rigorous CRM discipline, preparing customized fundraising materials (presentations, DDQs, RFPs, and track-record analyses), and building relationships with gatekeepers and intermediaries such as consultants, private banks, and placement agents. The role also involves representing B Capital at LP meetings, conferences, and industry events.

The ideal candidate brings 6–10 years of capital-raising experience in venture capital, private equity, private credit, or adjacent alternatives, ideally in a fundraising or capital formation role at a GP, placement agent, or investment bank. Experience raising capital from endowments, foundations, pension funds, funds of funds, and family offices is essential. An interest in technology investing and knowledge of the venture ecosystem are strongly preferred.

This position may be based in New York City, San Francisco, or Los Angeles.
