Associate, Portfolio Analytics

The Ares Secondaries team specializes in secondary market transactions of private equity, real estate, credit, and infrastructure investments with AUM of approximately $38 billion as of September 30, 2025. The team is hiring an Associate, Portfolio Analytics to join its Finance team of approximately 60 professionals located across West Hartford, CT, Boston, MA and New York, NY.

The ideal candidate will possess investment analysis, accounting, or private equity / fund of funds experience with a basic understanding of fund reporting, basic partnership accounting, and performance metrics. This role requires a dynamic, adaptive, and agile hands-on professional who enjoys a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.

Key responsibilities include working with investment professionals to assist in portfolio monitoring; performing detailed analysis of quarterly investment report valuations, including diversification metrics as well as valuation gains and losses; preparing support for quarterly investor reports, as well as performance returns at a portfolio and fund level (TWR, IRR, Multiples, etc.); and preparing analysis of valuation changes and drivers across portfolio investments, along with quarterly investor reports with supporting materials.
