Target sectors include renewable energy, energy storage, natural gas, transportation, resource efficiency, low carbon molecules, infrastructure services, and digital infrastructure. The team leverages its technical and financial skill set, industry relationships, and the Ares platform to source proprietary deal flow, structure downside protection, and seek attractive risk-adjusted returns for investors. AIE manages approximately $8.5 billion across two strategies and three main funds, drawing on a team of roughly 30 investment professionals with deep sector expertise.
The candidate will be responsible for portfolio management of investments made by Ares Core Infrastructure Fund ("ACI"), a perpetual, open-ended, core infrastructure fund primarily making asset-level investments in the renewable, thermal, midstream, and digital sectors. Responsibilities span Financial Planning and Analytics initiatives including monthly valuation analysis and reporting, tracking financial and operational investment performance, preparing financial and operational reporting, monitoring contract compliance and counterparty reporting, fund-level modeling analysis, and presenting analyses to internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will directly support the Investment Team on existing and new investments.
Key responsibilities include producing detailed Net Asset Value analysis and forecasts, monitoring and analyzing operational and financial performance of projects versus budget, interfacing with portfolio investment and financing counterparties, monitoring contract compliance including Debt Service Coverage Ratios, fund-level financial modeling, and preparing analyses and reporting materials for internal and external stakeholders. The role requires close collaboration with the Investment team, FP&A team, and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with financial regulations.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of finance or accounting experience and exposure to valuation methods and power, energy, or infrastructure sectors. Strong financial modeling capabilities in Excel and excellent communication skills are required. The role reports to the Managing Director, Infrastructure Equity. The anticipated base salary range is $110,000 to $145,000, with a discretionary performance-based bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and wellness programs.
