The Role: National Accounts Director/Principal:
The National Accounts Director/Principal will be instrumental in cultivating and sustaining deep, strategic relationships with a portfolio of institutional investors. This individual will serve as a primary point of contact for designated national accounts, articulating Apollo's private equity investment philosophy, strategies, and performance. The position demands a strategic mindset, a comprehensive understanding of the institutional investor landscape, and a proven capacity to contribute directly to the firm's capital raising objectives. As a Director-level professional, leadership in client engagement and market insight will be paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive capital raising efforts for Apollo's private equity funds, effectively communicating investment theses, fund differentiators, and performance attributes to sophisticated institutional investors.
* Cultivate and strengthen relationships with a defined portfolio of institutional investors, including pension funds, endowments, foundations, consultants, and family offices.
* Lead detailed presentations and due diligence meetings with prospective and existing limited partners, ensuring a clear and compelling articulation of Apollo's value proposition.
* Collaborate closely with Apollo's private equity investment teams to integrate investor feedback and ensure alignment between product development and market demand.
* Provide strategic market intelligence and competitive analysis to inform fundraising strategies and product positioning.
* Develop and execute comprehensive account plans designed to maximize investor commitment, retention, and satisfaction.
* Represent Apollo Global Management at key industry conferences, investor forums, and other relevant events.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess substantial experience in institutional sales, investor relations, or capital raising specifically within the private equity sector. A deep understanding of private equity fund structures, investment strategies, and performance metrics is essential. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of securing significant capital commitments from institutional investors and possess exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills suitable for an executive audience.
