Role Overview
The Director, Enterprise Transformation - Insurance Solutions will lead comprehensive transformation programs within Apollo’s private equity-backed insurance companies. This involves assessing current operations, formulating strategic improvement plans, and overseeing their implementation. The role demands strategic insight, operational acumen, and project management capabilities to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, profitability, and innovation across diverse insurance business lines.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Assessment:* Conduct thorough operational and technological assessments of insurance portfolio companies to identify opportunities for performance enhancement and cost optimization. Develop clear, actionable transformation roadmaps aligned with investment theses.
Program Leadership:* Lead complex enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, including process re-engineering, technology modernization, organizational design, and digital acceleration, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Value Creation & Execution:* Drive the execution of identified value creation levers, working closely with portfolio company leadership to implement operational best practices and achieve defined performance targets.
Stakeholder Management:* Collaborate effectively with C-suite executives, functional leaders, and external advisors to build consensus, manage change, and ensure successful program adoption and sustained results.
Performance Monitoring:* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress and impact of transformation initiatives, reporting regularly on outcomes and adjusting strategies as necessary.
Industry Expertise:* Apply deep understanding of the insurance industry landscape, regulatory environment, and emerging trends to inform transformation strategies and identify competitive advantages.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in enterprise transformation, management consulting, or senior operational leadership roles within the insurance industry. A proven track record of successfully leading large-scale change programs and delivering tangible financial and operational improvements is essential. Experience with private equity-backed companies is highly valued. A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
