The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping and executing credit strategies specifically tailored to Apollo's extensive Private Equity division, ensuring robust financial health and optimal risk-adjusted returns across a significant portfolio.

As Director, Credit Strategy & Management, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing sophisticated credit frameworks and processes. This senior-level position requires a deep understanding of credit markets, financial analysis, and portfolio management within the context of private equity investments. You will collaborate closely with investment teams, senior leadership, and portfolio companies to identify, assess, and manage credit exposures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Formulate and execute comprehensive credit strategies pertinent to Apollo's private equity investments, aligning with overall firm objectives.
* Oversee the credit risk assessment, underwriting, and mitigation processes for new and existing private equity transactions.
* Conduct thorough credit due diligence on prospective private equity acquisition targets and financing structures.
* Monitor and analyze the credit performance of portfolio companies, providing proactive insights and recommendations to investment teams.
* Develop and maintain robust credit policies, governance frameworks, and reporting mechanisms specific to the private equity portfolio.
* Advise senior management and investment committees on complex credit-related matters, market conditions, and potential impacts on private equity holdings.
* Lead and mentor a team of credit professionals, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and strategic thinking.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in credit strategy, risk management, or a related field, preferably within a leading financial institution, private equity firm, or investment bank. A strong analytical background, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels are essential. Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a proven track record of managing complex credit portfolios are required.
