Principal, Investment Team

Antler, one of the UK's largest pre-seed venture capital funds and a global early-stage VC operating across 27 cities and six continents, is seeking a Principal to join its UK investment team in London. The firm has backed over 1,500 companies including Lovable, Airalo, and Peec AI.

This is a core investment team role focused on identifying and backing exceptional founders from day zero. The Principal will source outstanding individuals, support founders through Antler's residency program, lead investment opportunities end-to-end from sourcing to investment committee, and represent Antler within the UK startup ecosystem.

Key responsibilities include identifying and assessing founder potential before traditional signals exist, leveraging existing networks across founders, operators, investors, and universities, using AI-first workflows for sourcing and diligence, supporting early company strategy and execution, leading investment committee recommendations, and helping founders with fundraising processes.

Ideal backgrounds include former founders, early-stage operators at high-growth startups, or investors/advisors with meaningful early-stage experience. VC experience is helpful but not required. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

The role offers participation in carried interest in UK Fund II, a competitive salary and performance-based bonus, 23 days' leave plus public holidays, and a global platform with deal flow across 27 cities.
