Role Overview

Alumni Ventures, one of the world's most active venture capital platforms ($1.4B+ raised, 1,600+ portfolio companies), is hiring a Principal to lead its UK/Europe/MENA investing activity from London, in a 5-day-a-week in-office role.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and evaluate 5-7 annual investments across the UK, Europe, and MENA regions

- Lead due diligence and investment execution for deals valued at approximately $5-20M annually

- Support portfolio company growth through CEO check-ins and performance monitoring

- Build ecosystem relationships with founders, LPs, and venture partners

- Develop a personal brand through thought leadership and industry engagement

Qualifications

- 5-7+ years in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or startups

- Demonstrated deal sourcing track record

- Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred)

- Deep knowledge of the EMEA startup ecosystem, with emphasis on UK and Nordic markets

- UK work authorization without sponsorship needs

Other details

Regular European/Middle Eastern travel required, plus occasional US East Coast visits.
