Private Equity Senior Associate, Software

A private equity firm with approximately $3 billion in assets under management is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Los Angeles-based investment team. The firm focuses on control investments in software, SaaS, and technology-enabled businesses, partnering with management teams to drive growth and operational improvement.

The Senior Associate will work closely with senior investment professionals across the full investment lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, execution, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate investment opportunities within software, SaaS, and technology-enabled sectors

- Build financial models, perform valuation analyses, and support transaction underwriting

- Conduct industry research, commercial diligence, and competitive assessments

- Participate in management meetings, due diligence processes, and transaction execution

- Prepare investment committee materials and investment recommendations

- Monitor portfolio company performance and support value creation initiatives

- Assist with add-on acquisitions, strategic projects, and portfolio management activities

Qualifications:

- 2-5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, growth equity, or a related investment role

- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills

- Experience evaluating M&A transactions, leveraged buyouts, and growth investments

- Prior exposure to software, technology, SaaS, or technology-enabled businesses preferred
