Analysis

Tritemius Capital has unveiled Tritemius Fund I FCRE, a €21 million venture capital fund designed to invest in early-stage startups in the fields of Web3, blockchain, and digital assets. This initiative marks a milestone as the first fund in Spain focused exclusively on Web3 technologies and regulated under the European Venture Capital Fund (FCRE) framework by the CNMV.

The fund aims to support startups from pre-seed to pre-Series A stages, with an average ticket size of €500,000 per company. A significant portion of the capital is reserved for follow-on investments, ensuring continued support for startups as they scale.

Acting as promoter and advisor, Tritemius Capital will focus on identifying projects that bring innovative solutions in areas like decentralized finance (DeFi), blockchain infrastructure, cybersecurity, privacy, and tokenization.

Luis Pastor, CEO and co-founder of Tritemius, highlighted the goal of connecting investment opportunities across Europe and Latin America, providing not only capital but also strategic insight and access to a relevant entrepreneurial network.

The fund is managed by Abante, a respected Spanish financial advisory firm with over €1.5 billion in private market assets, ensuring operational and investment expertise.

Initial investments under evaluation include a Spanish Web3 cybersecurity startup and a firm working between Spain and Latin America focused on tokenizing guarantees for microcredit lending.

With this fund, Tritemius Capital positions itself at the forefront of Spain’s venture capital ecosystem, offering a regulated, specialized vehicle for the emerging Web3 and blockchain sectors.
