Resonant Clinical Solutions Expands Advanced Therapy Storage

Resonant Clinical Solutions has significantly expanded its European footprint and specialized capabilities by acquiring Creapharm Bioservices, a French entity previously under the umbrella of Myonex. This strategic move fortifies Resonant's capacity to manage the intricate logistical demands of advanced therapies, particularly cell and gene therapies, which require highly specialized handling and ultra-low temperature storage.

The integration of Creapharm Bioservices, located in Bailly-Romainvilliers, France, brings critical expertise in biobanking and cryogenic preservation. This includes capabilities such as vapor-phase nitrogen storage down to -196°C, mechanical freezer storage, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards for sample management. This acquisition directly addresses the accelerating shift in clinical research pipelines towards complex biological modalities.

Industry data underscores the growing importance of these specialized services. A recent IQVIA report indicated that non-small-molecule therapeutics, encompassing advanced modalities, constituted 46% of new clinical trial initiations in Phase I-III during 2024, a notable increase from 38% five years prior. This trend highlights a substantial market demand for partners equipped to handle these cutting-edge treatments.

Creapharm Bioservices' specialized offerings now bolster Resonant’s Biorepository division, enhancing its global network and technical proficiency. Key additions include advanced cryogenic storage solutions, robust chain-of-custody protocols from ambient to cryogenic temperatures, expertise in handling genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and established GMP/GDP compliant facilities. This expansion also brings valuable European infrastructure and established client relationships into the Resonant fold.
