Panasonic Projector & Display Corporation has significantly expanded its visual solutions capabilities by acquiring 100% of the shares in UK-based media technology firm HIVE. This strategic move signals Panasonic's accelerated transition from a traditional hardware manufacturer to a comprehensive provider of integrated visual ecosystems, extending its reach into software, content workflow, and advanced media delivery.

The acquisition is particularly impactful for the burgeoning immersive entertainment and fixed-installation sectors, where sophisticated media playback and control are paramount.
