Palamon to Sell mydentist to Bridgepoint for 3x Return - InforCapital

Palamon Capital Partners, a pan-European growth investor, has agreed to sell its majority stake in UK dental chain mydentist to funds managed by Bridgepoint Advisors. The deal marks the successful conclusion of Palamon’s transformative investment since acquiring the business in 2021.

mydentist is one of the largest dental care providers in Europe, operating over 500 clinics and employing more than 3,500 dental professionals across 2,500 surgeries. Serving nearly 4 million patients annually, its services span NHS treatment, mid-tier myoptions private care, and high-end premium dental offerings.

Under Palamon’s ownership, the company executed a focused turnaround strategy. This included divesting the non-core DD Group distribution business, improving operational efficiency, investing in digital infrastructure, and expanding recruitment efforts for international dentists to address UK workforce shortages.

These efforts led to strong organic growth and a significant uplift in profitability, culminating in a reported 3x return for Palamon’s 2021 fund investors. The deal is expected to close in Q3 2025, subject to regulatory approval and customary conditions.

The transaction adds to a growing list of private equity investments in the dental care and healthcare services sector, driven by resilient demand, scalable clinic networks, and margin expansion opportunities.
