Paladin EnviroTech Acquires ICT, Expands European ITAD

Paladin EnviroTech is significantly expanding its European footprint and secure IT asset disposition (ITAD) capabilities through the acquisition of ICT, an Ireland-based specialist. This strategic move, part of a broader $70 million expansion initiative, aims to enhance Paladin's global capacity for secure technology lifecycle management and critical material recycling.

The integration of ICT, a recognized leader in the Irish market since its founding in 2003, bolsters Paladin's in-house operations. This includes strengthening chain-of-custody protocols and expanding on-site data destruction services within Ireland. ICT will be rebranded under the Paladin name and will relocate to a new, expansive 52,000-square-foot processing center in Dublin, a city increasingly central to the European Union's data infrastructure.

ICT brings substantial operational experience, processing over 2,000 tons of obsolete electronics annually and securely destroying more than 500,000 data-carrying devices in the past year. Notably, the company was the first in Ireland to achieve R2v3 certification, a testament to its commitment to stringent data security, environmental stewardship, and downstream accountability. Its client roster spans enterprise organizations, hyperscale data centers, public sector entities, and commercial businesses.

The acquisition aligns with Paladin's overarching strategy to construct a unified global platform. This platform integrates IT asset disposition, certified data destruction, electronics recycling, and the recovery of valuable rare-earth materials. By deepening its presence in Ireland and across the continent, Paladin is positioning itself to meet the escalating demand from organizations seeking robust, compliant, and environmentally conscious solutions for managing retired technology assets. The ITAD market is experiencing significant growth, driven by increasing data privacy regulations and corporate sustainability mandates, with global market size projected to reach tens of billions in the coming years.
