Analysis

Fintech innovator In-Lire spa Società Benefit has successfully closed a significant pre-crowdfunding funding round, securing over €870,000 through a SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) instrument. This capital infusion precedes the company's upcoming equity crowdfunding campaign on the Mamacrowd platform, set to launch on July 28th. The SAFE round, structured with the guidance of capital raising specialists RoundCapital, saw participation from prominent entrepreneurs and corporate entities, including Acquaviva spa and Roma Formazione, a division of Multiversitas Holding srl.

Founded in Milan in 2016, In-Lire is pioneering a complementary currency circuit designed to facilitate inter-company transactions. The platform enables businesses to exchange goods and services by leveraging commercial credits, fostering a more collaborative economic ecosystem. Since becoming operational in 2018, the company has demonstrated consistent growth, reporting revenues of €2.3 million and an EBITDA of approximately €860,000 for the fiscal year 2025. This financial performance underscores the robustness of its business model and provides a solid foundation for its next expansion phase.

The upcoming equity crowdfunding initiative on Mamacrowd aims to raise between a minimum of €550,000 and a maximum of €1 million. This public offering will allow In-Lire to broaden its investor base and secure additional capital for crucial strategic initiatives. Funds will be allocated towards enhancing its technological infrastructure, expanding its commercial reach, and furthering its territorial development, thereby strengthening the reach and utility of its compensatory currency circuit.

In-Lire's strategic development has also included key acquisitions. In December 2021, the company integrated Tibex, a network focused on revitalizing local economies through the exchange of goods and services. This was followed by the acquisition of Umbrex in December 2022, a business unit from Link 3C Società Cooperativa that connected 300 small and medium-sized enterprises in the Umbria region. These moves highlight In-Lire's commitment to consolidating its market position and expanding its network effect.

Romi Fuke, President of In-Lire, expressed enthusiasm for the recent funding success and the upcoming public campaign. "The closing of the SAFE round is a pivotal achievement for In-Lire and validates our strategic direction," Fuke stated. "The support from our investors reflects a growing interest in our collaborative economic model, which generates tangible value for businesses and regions. Through Mamacrowd, we aim to extend this opportunity to a wider community."

Giuseppe Scapola, CEO of RoundCapital, commented on the successful SAFE structuring and the transition to the crowdfunding phase. "This SAFE round was the initial step in a carefully planned capital expansion strategy," Scapola noted. "We provided comprehensive support to In-Lire, from deal structuring to investor engagement. The Mamacrowd campaign represents the natural progression, opening the project to an even broader audience and fostering community investment." The fintech sector, particularly companies offering innovative payment and transaction solutions, continues to attract significant investor attention, driven by the increasing demand for efficient and collaborative financial tools.
