JM Test Systems Acquires McMurray Technical Services

JM Test Systems has significantly expanded its operational footprint and service capabilities through the strategic acquisition of McMurray Technical Services. This move solidifies JM Test Systems' position as a key provider of calibration and test equipment services, particularly strengthening its presence across the vital Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the United States. The integration of McMurray Technical Services, headquartered in McMurray, Pennsylvania, is designed to enhance the company's ability to serve highly regulated sectors.

The acquired entity, McMurray Technical Services, established in 2014, brings a specialized focus on calibration for industries including natural gas, midstream energy, power generation, and industrial manufacturing. Their expertise encompasses compliance-driven calibration of critical instrumentation and measurement devices, complemented by consulting in quality assurance, validation, and other technical services. This specialized knowledge is expected to be a significant asset to JM Test Systems' existing portfolio.

Following the transaction, McMurray Technical Services will continue its operations from its Pennsylvania base, which will now serve as a crucial service hub for JM Test Systems in the Mid-Atlantic. This consolidation aims to provide customers with seamless access to an expanded suite of services, including nationwide logistics for equipment pickup and delivery, on-site calibration solutions, and a wider array of test and measurement offerings. JM Test Systems currently supports thousands of clients across energy, utilities, manufacturing, and transportation sectors through its metrology laboratories offering equipment sales, rentals, testing, and calibration.

This acquisition is a direct continuation of JM Test Systems' growth trajectory, a strategy actively supported by its owner, Kanbrick. Kanbrick, which invested in JM Test Systems in 2023, has provided the capital necessary to fuel expansion initiatives, targeting new technologies, geographic locations, and service enhancements. The integration of McMurray Technical Services exemplifies this strategic capital deployment.
