Cline Secures $32M Funding - InforCapital

San Francisco-based open-source AI coding leader, Cline, has successfully raised $32 million in seed and Series A funding. Emergence Capital spearheaded the recent Series A round, with participation from Pace Capital, 1984 Ventures, Essence VC, Cox Exponential, and a number of significant developer-focused angel investors such as Jared Friedman, Eric Simons, Logan Kilpatrick, Addy Osmani, and tech YouTuber Theo Browne.

The funding is set to propel the launch of Cline Teams, Cline's new enterprise platform aimed at introducing its acclaimed agentic AI coding abilities to large-scale enterprises. It also aims to expand the Cline team and enhance its product offerings, including extending Cline beyond VS Code to wherever developers write code.
