AXON Networks Acquires Greenwave Systems for Wireless Tech

AXON Networks has significantly expanded its capabilities in wireless network management and orchestration through the strategic acquisition of Greenwave Systems. This move is designed to bolster AXON’s existing Operational Support Systems (OSS) and Business Support Systems (BSS) offerings, particularly enhancing its AI-native AXON Maestro platform with advanced wireless expertise.

The integration of Greenwave Systems' software-defined connectivity and Network-as-a-Service orchestration technologies, previously marketed as WAVELY, is central to this acquisition. This infusion of technology is expected to accelerate the development of new OSS service management functionalities. The deal also brings aboard a specialized team of engineers with deep experience in mobile network deployments, crucial for navigating the complexities of modern telecommunications infrastructure.

This strategic consolidation arrives as technologies like Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite networks witness escalating adoption.
