Analysis

Lebronze Alloys (LBA), a specialist in high-performance copper and nickel alloy solutions, has acquired 100% of m Lego, a French manufacturer of semi-finished copper alloy products, from the AUREA Group.

Headquartered in France, LBA provides alloys that combine thermal conductivity, electrical performance, and resistance to friction. These materials serve a global client base across aerospace, energy, medical, electronics, and luxury markets, with more than 1,000 customers worldwide.

The acquisition of m Lego strengthens LBA’s industrial capabilities and enhances its ability to deliver tailor-made copper alloy components. Founded in 1894, m Lego manufactures round bars, flats, custom profiles, and sections, and generated €34 million in revenue in 2024. All 85 employees of m Lego will join the LBA Group.

The deal is part of LBA’s growth strategy under the guidance of Astorg, which became a shareholder in 2024. With Astorg’s support, LBA is actively pursuing targeted acquisitions to expand its product portfolio, geographic reach, and technological leadership.

This transaction follows similar moves by Astorg-backed industrials aimed at consolidating expertise and boosting value in strategic European manufacturing sectors. It reflects a broader trend of private equity-driven industrial consolidation, especially in areas involving specialty materials and sustainability-linked production.

With integration plans underway, LBA and m Lego are focused on ensuring continuity and accelerating innovation across their combined operations in Europe and beyond.
