Analysis

Apollo Global Management named Bert Crouch as Partner and Head of Real Estate Equity, combining Bridge Investment Group's platform with Apollo's private‑markets franchise. The move follows Apollo's year‑to‑date integration of Bridge and signals a major step in scaling the real estate equity platform across cycles.

Under the arrangement, Bridge Investment Group joins Apollo’s real estate equity family, with Jonathan Slager continuing as Bridge CEO and Robert Morse transitioning to a Vice Chairman role focused on origination and client relationships. The leadership refresh is designed to accelerate growth while preserving continuity for investors and stakeholders.

Bert Crouch brings more than two decades of experience in real estate investment and portfolio management, with a background spanning both equity and credit. Most recently, he led North America at Invesco Real Estate and served as CEO of Invesco Commercial Real Estate Finance Trust since its 2023 launch, after roles on Invesco Real Estate’s Global Executive Committee and Invesco Private Markets’ Executive Committee.

Apollo Partner and Co‑Head of Equity David Sambur said Bert’s track record and leadership align with Apollo’s aim to operate a premier real estate equity platform that integrates across equity and credit. The team is poised to capitalize on opportunities across housing, industrials and other core verticals as market dynamics evolve.

From Apollo’s perspective, the platform currently manages a substantial asset base with more than $110 billion of assets under management, spanning diversified real estate strategies. The Bridge integration expands the footprint and product set of the real estate equity unit, positioning the platform for cyclical growth in both institutional and wealth channels.
