Analysis
Amenitiz, the Barcelona-based hospitality software specialist, has closed a fresh financing round of $45 million to accelerate product development, embed advanced AI and push further into new territories. The capital package combines fresh equity with credit facilities to fund a faster roll‑out of automated revenue tools and operational workflows.
The round was led by Spanish investor Kfund via its growth vehicle Leadwind, with participation from sector investor Thayer Ventures, UK firm Columbia Lake Partners and a group of returning backers who first invested in 2022. Existing venture investors including Eight Roads, Point9, Otium, Backed and Chalfen Ventures also increased their exposure, signalling continued confidence in Amenitiz’s expansion story.
Founded to simplify everyday operations for independent hoteliers — which account for roughly 80% of European properties — Amenitiz provides a unified cloud platform that covers bookings, operations, payments and yield management. Co‑founder and CEO Alexandre Guinefolleau says the new funds will prioritise AI modules that identify untapped revenue streams and drive end‑to‑end automation for staff and owners.
Since its previous financing round in 2022 (when it raised about €27m), the company has scaled quickly: it now supports more than 15,000 properties, up from roughly 4,000, and reported €15.2 million in revenue for 2024 — a year‑on‑year increase of around 70%. Hotels using the platform processed in excess of €3 billion in booking volume over the last 18 months, the firm says.
The hotel technology segment is witnessing steady adoption of cloud property management systems and AI‑driven revenue management, with independent operators seeking tools that lower distribution costs and boost margins. Amenitiz’s blend of property management, payments and direct‑booking features positions it against established players such as Cloudbeds, Mews and other PMS vendors while differentiating on usability and integrated payments.
Looking ahead, the infusion is expected to accelerate roll‑out of predictive pricing, personalised upsell engines and operational automation that can reduce front‑desk workload. If Amenitiz can convert AI insights into measurable increases in RevPAR and lower distribution fees for clients, it could deepen its penetration of the independent hotel segment and increase competitive pressure on legacy providers.
