Job Duties: Manage and develop underwriting team responsible for the South Central Region Build a well-balanced and profitable portfolio of Private and Not-for-Profit Financial Lines products Oversee the Underwriting, rating, and servicing of new and renewal submissions Ensure that underwriting files are of consistent quality and cover all relevant issues Facilitate marketing / client plan for the region Meet regularly with assigned Financial Lines brokers; Identify and establish new relationships with FL brokers; Success to be measured by submission/quote/bind metrics compared to prior periods of the team Develop a working knowledge of other Starr products to facilitate cross sale of those products where applicable Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 5+ years of experience managing a Financial Lines book of business Detail oriented; Attention to quality/accuracy Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflows efficiently Ability to lead a team in a group environment Proven track record of success with Texas insurance marketplace Professional demeanor in verbal and written communications Starr is an equal opportunity employer, which means we'll consider all suitably qualified applicants regardless of gender identity or expression, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, age, sexual orientation, disability status or any other protected characteristic.
