The Investment Director will be responsible for the full investment lifecycle within the healthcare venture capital domain. This includes proactively sourcing new investment opportunities through an extensive industry network and deep market research. A core function will involve leading comprehensive due diligence processes, encompassing scientific, clinical, technical, financial, and commercial assessments. The role requires structuring and negotiating complex investment terms, presenting recommendations to the investment committee, and executing transactions. Post-investment, the Director will actively manage portfolio companies, providing strategic oversight, supporting operational development, and preparing for successful exits. Collaboration with Roche's R&D and business development teams will be integral to identifying strategic alignment and fostering value creation.

Candidates should possess a robust background in venture capital or private equity, with a demonstrated track record of successful investments in the life sciences or healthcare technology sectors. A deep understanding of early-stage company dynamics, along with a strong scientific or medical foundation, is essential. The ideal professional will combine rigorous analytical capabilities with an entrepreneurial mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with founders, co-investors, and internal stakeholders.
