Principal - European Early-Stage Investing

Redalpine, a prominent European Venture Capital firm, is seeking a Principal to significantly contribute to its early-stage investing activities across Europe. This role presents a compelling opportunity to drive critical investment decisions, identify and back high-potential early-stage companies, and actively shape the future of technology and innovation within the firm's established portfolio and new ventures. The Principal will play an instrumental part in expanding Redalpine's footprint and impact within the competitive European startup ecosystem.

The Principal will assume a central role in all stages of the investment lifecycle. This includes proactively identifying and sourcing new investment opportunities within the European early-stage technology landscape. A core responsibility will be to conduct rigorous due diligence, encompassing market analysis, technological assessment, team evaluation, financial projections, and competitive positioning. The successful candidate will lead the structuring and negotiation of investment terms, preparing comprehensive investment memoranda for the investment committee, and overseeing the execution of transactions.

Beyond investment execution, the Principal will provide strategic and operational support to portfolio companies, fostering their growth and preparing them for subsequent funding rounds and eventual exits. This involves close collaboration with founders and management teams, offering guidance on business development, talent acquisition, and strategic planning. Furthermore, the Principal will contribute to Redalpine's thought leadership, market intelligence, and overall investment strategy, helping to refine the firm's thesis and expand its network within the European startup ecosystem.

Candidates should possess a substantial track record in early-stage venture capital, growth equity, or a related investment banking/consulting role focused on technology. This experience must demonstrate a deep understanding of European technology markets, emerging trends, and the acumen to identify and support disruptive business models from concept to scale. Strong analytical capabilities, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and a robust professional network across the European startup and investor landscape are essential for success. The Principal will operate with a high degree of autonomy and strategic insight, contributing directly to Redalpine’s continued success and market leadership in early-stage investing.
