The Role:
As a Senior Investment Professional (Director) for Real Estate Transactions, you will be instrumental in identifying, evaluating, and executing private equity real estate investments. Based in Sydney, Australia, this position requires a seasoned professional with a demonstrated track record in complex real estate transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Sourcing and Origination:* Proactively identify and assess new private equity real estate investment opportunities that align with QIC Real Estate's investment mandates and strategy. This includes market research, networking, and developing a robust deal pipeline.
Transaction Leadership and Execution:* Lead all phases of the investment process from initial screening through to closing. This involves conducting comprehensive due diligence, developing detailed financial models, performing valuation analyses, structuring deals, and negotiating terms with counterparties. You will oversee legal documentation and ensure efficient transaction execution.
Strategic Analysis and Recommendation:* Formulate investment theses, prepare detailed investment committee memoranda, and present recommendations to senior leadership and investment committees. This requires a deep understanding of real estate markets, risk assessment, and value creation drivers.
Portfolio Management Support:* Contribute to the ongoing management and performance monitoring of acquired assets. Work closely with asset management teams to identify and implement value-enhancement initiatives, monitor market conditions, and support divestment strategies when appropriate.
Stakeholder Engagement:* Cultivate and maintain relationships with brokers, developers, operating partners, and other market participants. Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including legal, finance, and asset management, to ensure seamless transaction execution and portfolio oversight.
Team Development:* Mentor and guide junior investment professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and contributing to the development of the investment team.
