This pivotal role presents an exceptional opportunity to lead the firm's strategic initiatives and expand its significant footprint within the Japanese private wealth sector. Based in Tokyo, Japan, this individual will be instrumental in driving growth and deepening client relationships in one of Asia's most sophisticated markets for private equity and broader private markets investments.
As a leading global private markets investment manager, Partners Group provides a diverse range of investment solutions across private equity, private real estate, private infrastructure, and private debt. This position sits within Client Solutions Asia, reflecting the firm's commitment to strategic expansion and deep client engagement across the region. The successful candidate will play a central role in representing Partners Group and its comprehensive suite of private markets solutions to a discerning private wealth client base.
The Senior Client Relationship Manager (Head of Private Wealth, Japan) will hold primary accountability for conceiving, developing, and executing the firm's strategy for engaging with private wealth clients and their associated intermediaries across Japan. This includes identifying new business opportunities, fostering robust client acquisition channels, and ensuring the enduring satisfaction and retention of existing relationships within this high-priority segment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Cultivating and strengthening relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private banks, independent financial advisors, and other wealth management platforms in Japan.
* Leading the distribution and comprehensive explanation of Partners Group's private markets investment solutions, with a significant emphasis on private equity, but also encompassing private real estate, infrastructure, and debt offerings.
* Serving as Partners Group's senior representative for the private wealth segment in Japan, attending and presenting at industry conferences, client events, and one-on-one meetings.
* Collaborating closely with Partners Group's global investment teams to effectively communicate complex private market strategies, performance metrics, and market insights to a discerning client base.
* Working in partnership with internal product development and specialist teams to ensure that Partners Group's offerings are tailored and relevant to the specific investment objectives and regulatory environment of Japanese private wealth investors.
* Conducting thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory shifts impacting the private wealth landscape in Japan, adjusting strategies accordingly.
* Providing regular, detailed reporting on client engagement activities, market penetration, and strategic progress to the head of Client Solutions Asia, contributing to regional planning and goal setting.
