For additional information please visit our website at www.oaktreecapital.com. Responsibilities Oaktree is seeking an Associate to join the Real Estate team in its Los Angeles office. The Associate will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of real estate debt transactions for Oaktreeâs Real Estate Debt strategy. Typical investment opportunities include: new loan originations across all CRE product types; acquisitions of legacy loans, CMBS and other forms of public and private debt; restructurings; recapitalizations. Primary responsibilities include: Leading execution efforts on underwriting and closing; Preparing detailed financial modeling; Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis; Developing and maintaining business and industry due diligence; Participating in deal structuring, legal documentation, negotiations and closing; Drafting of memoranda for internal and external use; Presenting deals at credit committees; Collaborating with internal parties including equity coverages and junior resources; Monitoring the performance of existing portfolio investments. Qualifications 2-3 yearsâ experience as an analyst or associate with a top investment bank or real estate investment fund; Outstanding financial modeling, analytical and presentation skills; Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance. Education A Bachelorâs degree with honors from a top university or college is required. Base Salary Range $150,000 In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement. The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
