Senior Associate/Manager IFRS Financial Reporting Integration

KGaA (Munich, www.mutares.com) is a listed private equity holding company that acquires medium-sized companies in special situations — businesses with significant operational improvement potential that are subsequently sold after repositioning and stabilisation. Mutares actively supports its portfolio companies with dedicated investment and operations teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. The firm focuses on companies with revenues between EUR 100 million and EUR 750 million across various industries.

The Senior Associate/Manager IFRS Financial Reporting Integration will work on-site at portfolio companies to manage their integration into the Mutares finance and reporting processes, supporting the operations finance workstream.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the integration of portfolio companies into Mutares finance and reporting processes on-site

- Work closely with the CFO, local finance teams, and the Mutares restructuring and Group finance teams

- Manage the financial integration of new acquisitions (establish opening balance, manage PPA, perform IFRS conversion)

- Manage and improve financial statement closing and controlling processes

- Establish a well-functioning finance organisation within portfolio companies

- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit processes

Candidate Profile:

- Finance degree or similar with outstanding results

- At least 4 years of experience in management consulting, Big4, or a controlling/finance department (restructuring experience preferred)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an entrepreneurial mindset

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP, LucaNet or other ERP experience is a plus

- Business fluency in German and English

- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80% of working time at portfolio company sites)
