Assistant Manager / Manager, Group Investment Office

Kuok Group Singapore is hiring an Assistant Manager/Manager for its Group Investment Office. The role will work closely with the investment team to develop investment strategies and asset allocation recommendations across the group's diversified portfolio.

Key responsibilities include performing top-down sector analysis to understand industry-specific drivers, assessing the competitive landscape, and evaluating opportunities and risks; conducting bottom-up selection through detailed analysis of investment opportunities in public equities, special situations, start-ups, and fund managers; developing and maintaining financial models to derive valuation and ascertain drivers of returns; preparing succinct investment memos and presentations for internal stakeholders; driving transaction execution, including negotiating and reviewing legal documents alongside the legal team; potentially assisting in wider group initiatives such as divestitures and investments from an operating/strategic perspective; staying abreast of portfolio company developments, market trends, and regulatory changes; and supporting ongoing internal portfolio reporting.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (candidates with relevant experience will be considered regardless of field of study), along with 5-8 years of experience in research (e.g. equity research) or transactional/advisory work such as private equity, venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or business development. The role calls for an analytical mind, willingness to multi-task, attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in corporate finance concepts, and familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint.
