About This Role

Hildrics Capital is hiring an Investment Associate to join its private equity investment team, focused on private equity fund investments across South-East Asia. The Associate will work closely with other team members and deal partners across the entire private equity deal cycle, from origination through exit.

Responsibilities span the full private equity deal process: origination of deal opportunities through in-depth market and industry research and screening; due diligence support and execution covering both financial and non-financial aspects of target companies, in coordination with external professionals and advisors; post-investment monitoring through regular reviews of the investee company's financial and operational performance; value creation by identifying improvement areas and driving strategic and operational initiatives; and exit strategy development and execution toward divestment. The role also involves preparing deal screening reports, portfolio review reports, investment memorandums, and research reports, along with other ad hoc projects.

The ideal candidate is a self-disciplined, highly motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within a team context. Hildrics Capital is looking for a graduate from a reputable university with a degree in Business, Banking & Finance, or a related discipline and excellent academic results, along with 1-3 years of prior experience at a top-tier investment bank, private equity firm, management consulting firm, or auditing firm. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required, and familiarity with capital markets database platforms such as Capital IQ or Bloomberg is a plus. Strong English communication skills, both oral and written, and a professional presence are essential for interacting with internal and external parties. Candidates should also bring strong financial acumen, exceptional financial modelling skills, sound judgment in assessing business models, people, and market opportunities, and a willingness to travel at short notice.

This is an entry-level, full-time opportunity based in Singapore, offering direct exposure to the full private equity investment cycle within a South-East Asia-focused fund.
