Role Overview

HarbourVest Partners, a fund-of-funds and primary/secondary private markets investor of over forty years' standing, is hiring an Associate for its Asia Primary Investment Group in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate fund investment opportunities across the Venture Capital, Growth Equity and Private Equity markets throughout Asia.

- Meet with fund managers who are raising capital as part of the diligence process.

- Create detailed performance analytics, including benchmarking and portfolio company underwriting.

- Form and articulate investment theses to the broader Asia team.

- Conduct reference calls with portfolio companies and present opportunities to the Asia and Global Investment Committees.

Qualifications

- Keen interest in primary fund investing and intellectual curiosity.

- Strong work ethic with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong quantitative skills with deep Excel experience.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proven leadership ability, able to work independently and collaboratively.

- High level of maturity and ability to multi-task.
