About This Role

Goldman Sachs is hiring an Executive Director for its Alternative Capital Markets (ACM) group within the Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) division, based in Hong Kong. ACM is responsible for structuring, sourcing and raising capital from Goldman Sachs' ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices for non-traditional investment opportunities offered by the firm, spanning private equity, real estate and hedge funds, both direct strategies and fund-of-funds. The team serves as the central interface between Private Wealth Management clients and groups across Goldman Sachs, including the firm's direct investing efforts and the External Investing Group (XIG), which covers private equity, private credit, private real estate, hedge funds and related co-investments.

ACM is a global team of more than 60 alternative investment professionals across eight offices — New York, Albany, Dallas, London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shenzhen — responsible for over $120 billion in assets under supervision. The group is the architect of Goldman Sachs' Wealth Alternatives platform, which spans private equity, growth/venture capital, private credit, private real estate, hedge funds, co-investments and impact private investing, and includes a discretionary offering plus an in-house liquidity platform for clients.

The Executive Director will source and structure investment solutions for clients, organize roadshows and fundraise for alternative investment products including private equity funds, co-investments, private real estate, private credit and hedge funds, work with the External Investing Group to provide discretionary and advisory services, and deliver ongoing client service such as portfolio analysis and investor updates.

Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree or higher and bring a minimum of seven years' experience in fundraising or as a product specialist across private market instruments, along with a deep understanding of financial markets and investment instruments. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task against deadlines. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required to serve North Asia Private Wealth Management clients.
